Ikaika B. Rawlins

Mr. Rawlins concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and business transactions, and state and local tax matters. He has participated in transactions involving the sale, purchase, ground lease, and financing of office buildings, shopping centers, industrial property, and hotels throughout the State of Hawaii. He has also represented clients in connection with purchases and sales of businesses by way of asset purchase and stock / membership interest / partnership interest purchases and sales. Additionally, Mr. Rawlins’ tax practice focuses on advising clients with respect to Hawaii state and local tax issues, including issues relating to the Hawaii general excise tax and real property taxes, and disputes and appeals relating to these taxes.
Mr. Rawlins earned his law degree in 2014 after working in the government and commercial real estate industry and has worked for the Hawaii State Department of Taxation. He offers a rare blend of industry experience, providing clients a uniquely insightful perspective that sets him apart in navigating the intricacies of state and local tax matters, and real estate and business transactions.
